Huaca PucllanaYup, Lima has one right in the Miraflores district.  On my first visit to Lima in 2010,  I stayed across the street from this marvel;  this time we were a few miles away.  Constructed in terraces, the adobe and clay structure dates from the fifth century.  It now serves as an archeological museum and one of the top restaurants in Lima.  Nope, I didn’t eat there, but I did enjoy other culinary delights.

Highlights from Chile

February, the second month of my adventure, was l-o-n-g. To say our accommodations were lacking would be diplomatic and kind. Decrepit and malfunctioning would be more like it. Pangea196 really messed up on this one. My roommate and I just bucked up and made the best of it with grit, determination, and a sense of humor. Despite the daily difficulties, I managed to have some fun and interesting experiences.
